Well this is now one of my favourite movies . Fans of HIGH FIDELITY and ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND will be charmed by this quirky film that sheds a linear plot in favor of a memory-driven look at a failed romance. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (BRICK) stars as Tom, a greeting-card writer who dreams of becoming an architect and finding his true love. Zooey Deschanel (THE HAPPENING) plays Summer, a vintage-looking beauty whose ideas about love are entirely modern. As Tom remembers his 500 days with Summer, his mind jumps from moment to moment, largely thinking of the good times in their trouble-filled relationship. Indie darlings Deschanel and Gordon-Levitt are perfectly cast in this sweet, funny film that infuses the typical romantic tropes with reality. Anyone else would have caused audiences to hate Summer, but Deschanel is adorable enough that she still endears herself to viewers. Arthouse favorite Gordon-Levitt hasn’t played a traditional romantic lead since 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU in 1999, but here he proves equally adept at portraying Tom’s sweetness and his neuroses. Music-video director Marc Webb makes his feature debut with (500) DAYS OF SUMMER, and it’s easy to see influences of his past work. The soundtrack boasts songs from Regina Spektor, Doves, Feist, Wolfmother, and, of course, The Smiths, the band that brings the couple together. Webb also adds an innovative style to the dramedy, combining a naturalistic look at love with a non-linear plot, animated vignettes, and a triumphant musical sequence. The film’s mixture of cynicism and romance makes it perfect viewing for happy couples, the recently dumped, and the hopeful singles in the audience.

Every day i wake up and this life is not like this but the awful truth is it is ... We have to know that and also accept the fact that people are polite around us and some time love doesnt come over time or even spontaneous .

For me love is a miracle that happens once and no matter how hard you try its not going to happen . No matter how good are you or bad or what ever the person wants , if the miracle is not meant to happen it wont , so why regret about it .

Suggestion : I would suggest don't take life too serious and enjoy every moment . But don't be afraid to give chances or take one because you never know .

Hope my review is not boring this time because i have exams now a days i didnt had time to write more emotional version of such a beautiful, breath taking movie.

How are you ? After such a long time , I am was going to watch a horror movie which i was thinking is going to be such a thirller and breath taking , but unfortunately i believed in titles from you tube . Oh man ... how could i be so so stupid i should read before spending like 2 hours watching a horrible horrible movie . Although Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried are like the hollywood's current most beautiful and spectacular actresses , but come on the story line seems like stolen from an unsuccessful writer .

I love the production and sets because the only thing that gave me moments not to switch off the movie were the scenes and piturization . I give the director and the camera man or the editor points because they make it worth it to watch because i am a boy and i do have hots for nice moments .

Well back to the movie ...

The story starts interestingly about a girl who is in a mental institution and is having attitude problem , gives you the idea that it might be a tragic tail so that was good to see that the audience is prepared .

but as the movie goes along it shows about a nerdy girl friends with a hot girl .... interesting concept but then all the good things happening to the nerdy girl and the hot girl EVIL ...

Why is all the hot beautiful well maintained girls are evil ... bad choice mr writer ... may be you had bad times with girls but not all hot girls are evil or manuplative . I appologize ...

Then there is a movie shift the girl who seems wanted to go with some singers of an unknown band changes and becomes this unknown demon . nice .... but why evil demeon why can t she be like just eating animals why humans ... mmm

Ok now that girl comes back evil but is a good citizen .. hehehe what rubbish eating other people not the parents mmm nice and what about the nerdy girl friend not even her although she is enjoying her self .. .

then finally now the nerdy friend tries to fix things forgetting every thing about friendship and love and starts to plan to get rid of her then if she kills her boy friend mmm thats making some one so upset that she becomes stronger then the demon it self ...

I love the picturization but the story mmm needs more work ...

this is a one time watcher movie if you have spare time and want to kill time ...

I would rate it very low ... if your killing time and dont want to watch the news watch this one time and dont think over the movie it will probably give you a head ache or migrain.
